In Thursday's league challenge, the host Goldsboro Cougars volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Princeton Bulldogs.
The Cougars (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Grace Christian (Sanford, NC). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record.
Next, the Bulldogs meet the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 8. Princeton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).
