Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) and the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), saw Althoff Catholic's soccer squad triumph over Metro-East Lutheran by a count of 8-0.

The Crusaders (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Blue Devils enter the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Quincy notched a victory over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Knights battle the Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) in a Gateway Metro battle, on Tuesday, September 9. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
