In Thursday's league outing, the host Marshall Tigers soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Fairmont Cardinals.

The Tigers (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Southwest Minnesota Christian (Edgerton, MN). The Eagles come into the Class A Section 2 test with a 1-2 record.

The Cardinals now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cannon Falls for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. Fairmont will clash with a Bombers team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Byron (Byron, MN). The Bombers record now stands at 3-1.
