Georgia High School Softball - Clinch County bounces Atkinson County

September 4, 2025: Pearson, GA 31642

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) and the host Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), observed Clinch County's softball squad nip Atkinson County by a score of 9-3.

With the triumph, Clinch County improves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Panthers host Echols County (Statenville, GA) to face the Wildcats in a 1A D-II Region 2 contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Wildcats enter the contest with a record of 3-5. Echols County lost 15-0 in their recent league contest against Lanier County (Lakeland, GA)

The Rebels now hold a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Charlton County for a 1A D-II Region 2 contest on Tuesday, September 9. Atkinson County will battle a Indians team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Indians record now stands at 9-6.
