The Kirkwood Pioneers (Kirkwood, MO) softball nipped the host Fox Warriors (Arnold, MO), 4-3 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Pioneers (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Ladue Horton Watkins (St. Louis, MO). The Rams go into the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Ladue Horton Watkins tipped Bayless (St. Louis, MO), 15-3, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Seckman Jaguars (Imperial, MO) in a Class 4 District 1 bout, on Monday, September 8. Fox will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Sikeston (Sikeston, MO).
