The Miami Wardogs softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Grove Ridgerunners to 1 in the Wardogs non-league win on Thursday.

The Wardogs now possess a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oologah for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 8. Miami will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Perkins-Tryon (Perkins, OK). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-5.

The Ridgerunners (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Vinita (Vinita, OK). The Hornets enter the non-league challenge with a 7-13 record. In their last challenge, Vinita edged Wyandotte (Wyandotte, OK), 9-8, in a non-league battle.
