In Thursday's league test, the Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Whitefield Academy WolfPack (Mableton, GA), by a tally of 13-4.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Alexander Cougars (Douglasville, GA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 6. Mount Vernon will attempt to advance on its 10-0 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 9-1 record after their 18-0 league win over Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA).

The WolfPack (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Galloway (Atlanta, GA). The Scots enter the 1A D-I Region 5 contest with a 1-2 record.
