In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Cottonwood Bears volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Abbeville Yellowjackets.
The Bears (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Geneva County (Hartford, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Area 2 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Geneva County was beaten by Samson (Samson, AL), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Yellowjackets meet the Barbour County Jaguars (Clayton, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Abbeville will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the test with a 0-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Zion Chapel (Jack, AL).
