Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN) and the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN), observed Alcoa's volleyball team top Sequoyah by a count of 3-0.

The Tornadoes (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against West (Knoxville, TN). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, West was knocked off by William Blount (Maryville, TN), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Chiefs battle the Loudon Redskins (Loudon, TN) in a AA District 4 contest, on Monday, September 8. Sequoyah will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record.
