In Thursday's league outing, the host Auburn Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Grayson County Blue Devils.

The Eagles now have a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire outing on Tuesday, September 9. Auburn will play a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Galax (Galax, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Grayson County drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to play the Bears in a Mountain Empire outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Bears come into the outing with a record of 2-1. Bland County won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)
