In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Brown City Green Devils volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Bad Axe Hatchets.

The Green Devils (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Yale (Yale, MI). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 11-1 record. In their last challenge, Yale edged Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hatchets face the Yale Bulldogs (Yale, MI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 6. Bad Axe will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 11-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI).
