The Liberty Red Devils (Liberty, SC) volleyball held off the host Blacksburg Wildcats (Blacksburg, SC), 3-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Red Devils now possess a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Crescent for a non-league bout on Monday, September 15.

With the loss, Blacksburg drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Landrum (Landrum, SC) to clash with the Cardinals in a match on Tuesday, September 9. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 8-5. Landrum lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Woodmont (Piedmont, SC)
