The Hunterdon Central Red Devils (Flemington, NJ) volleyball held off the visiting Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers (Bridgewater, NJ), 2-1 in Thursday's league bout.
The Red Devils now possess a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roxbury for a non-league match on Monday, September 8. Hunterdon Central will battle a Gaels squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to West Morris Central (Chester, NJ). The Gaels record now stands at 0-1.
The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Hillsborough (Hillsborough, NJ). The Raiders enter the Skyland - Delaware East match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Hillsborough held off Sparta (Sparta, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league match.
