In Thursday's league challenge, the host South Jones Braves volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Brookhaven Panthers.
The Braves (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Germantown (Madison, MS). The Mavericks enter the non-league challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Germantown achieved victory over Starkville (Starkville, MS), 3-1, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sumrall for a Class 5A Region 3 test on Monday, September 8.
