In Thursday's league challenge, the host Christian Family Academy Fire volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Community Christian Academy Warriors.

The Fire (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-1 record.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Haywood Christian Academy Red Wolves (Waynesville, NC) in a test, on Friday, September 5. Community Christian Academy will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Red Wolves go into the test with a 4-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy (Asheville, NC).
