In Thursday's league challenge, the host Hattiesburg Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Forest Hill Patriots.
The Tigers (4-9) will now prepare for their challenge against West Jones (Laurel, MS). The Mustangs enter the Class 6A Region 3 challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, West Jones beat Jim Hill (Jackson, MS), 3-2, in a league challenge.
Next, the Patriots meet the Terry Bulldogs (Terry, MS) in a Class 6A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Forest Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to George County (Lucedale, MS).
