Illinois High School Volleyball - Wesclin tips Gibault Catholic

Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL) and the visiting Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL), observed Wesclin's volleyball team hold off Gibault Catholic by a count of 2-1.

The Warriors (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sparta (Sparta, IL). The Bulldogs go into the Cahokia (Illinois Division) battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Sparta tipped Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Hawks now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Okawville for a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 10.
