In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Jefferson Forest Cavaliers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Gretna Hawks.

The Cavaliers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA). The Gryphons come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, New Covenant was nudged by North Cross (Roanoke, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hawks meet the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 15. Gretna will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Salem (Salem, VA).
