Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL) and the visiting Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL), observed Hersey's volleyball team hold off Prospect by a count of 2-1.

The Huskies (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Hawks go into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Maine South tipped Metamora (Metamora, IL), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Knights now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palatine for a Mid-Suburban battle on Tuesday, September 9. Prospect will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 6-2.
