The Wildcats now possess a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to West Tallahatchie for a Class 1A Region 4 outing on Tuesday, September 9.

With the loss, Shaw drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS) to play the Eagles in a Class 1A Region 4 game on Tuesday, September 9. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 4-1. West Bolivar lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against O'Bannon (Greenville, MS)
