In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Howell Central Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Troy-Buchanan Trojans.

The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Westminster Christian (St. Louis, MO). The Wildcats come into the Class 5 District 3 test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Westminster Christian gained a win over Parkway West (Ballwin, MO), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Zumwalt North for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. Troy-Buchanan will play a Panthers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Pattonville (Maryland Heights, MO). The Panthers record now stands at 3-0.
