Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Maize Eagles (Maize, KS), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Salthawks (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS). The Colts come into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I outing with a 1-6 record. In their last outing, Haysville Campus was nudged by Hutchinson (Hutchinson, KS), 2-1, in a league outing.

With the loss, Maize drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Derby (Derby, KS) to play the Panthers in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 4-3. Derby won 2-1 in their recent non-league game against Goddard (Goddard, KS)
