In Thursday's league challenge, the host Winona Winhawks volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the John Marshall Rockets.
The Winhawks (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN). The Tigers go into the Big 9 test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Albert Lea was defeated by Owatonna (Owatonna, MN), 3-0, in a league test.
The Rockets now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Austin for a Big 9 test on Tuesday, September 9. John Marshall will face a Packers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Faribault (Faribault, MN). The Packers record now stands at 2-1.
