In Thursday's league test, the host Laytonville Warriors volleyball squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Potter Valley Bearcats.

With the win, Laytonville improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to South Fork (Miranda, CA) to face the Cubs in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Cubs go into the test with a record of 1-2. South Fork lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Cornerstone Christian (Antioch, CA)

The Bearcats now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Point Arena for a North Central III challenge on Tuesday, September 9. Potter Valley will meet a Pirates team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Roseland Collegiate Prep (Santa Rosa, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 2-1.
