The St. Bede Bruins held off the host Marquette Crusaders volleyball team by a margin of 2-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Bruins now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bureau Valley for a non-league bout on Monday, September 8. St. Bede will confront a Storm squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Storm record now stands at 1-5.
