Mississippi High School Volleyball - Meridian overwhelmed by Northwest Rankin

Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Northwest Rankin improves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Newton County (Decatur, MS) to face the Cougars in a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 17-2. Newton County won 3-0 in their recent league test against Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS)

The Wildcats now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brandon for a Class 7A Region 3 test on Tuesday, September 9. Meridian will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Petal (Petal, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 20-4.
