In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host St. John Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the South Central Timberwolves.
The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Christian (Hutchinson, KS). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Central Christian lost by Wichita HomeSchool (Wichita, KS), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Timberwolves meet the Ashland Blue Jays (Ashland, KS) in a Southern Plains-Iroquois test, on Tuesday, September 9. South Central will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Blue Jays go into the test with a 2-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, KS).
