Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) and the visiting Wilkinson County Wildcats (Woodville, MS), observed Wesson's volleyball team top Wilkinson County by a count of 3-0.
The Cobras (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Amite County (Liberty, MS). The Trojans go into the Class 2A Region 7 battle with a 0-10 record. In their last battle, Amite County dropped by Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Wildcats now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Loyd Star for a Class 2A Region 7 battle on Monday, September 8. Wilkinson County will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Amite County (Liberty, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 9-3.
