In Tuesday's league battle, the host George Stevens Academy Eagles soccer squad scored a close 8-2 triumph over the Bucksport Golden Bucks.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Mount View (Thorndike, ME). The Mustangs come into the Class C - North battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Mount View nudged Waterville (Waterville, ME), 5-4, in a non-league battle.
The Golden Bucks (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Orono (Orono, ME). The Riots come into the Class C - North battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Orono was overwhelmed by Washington Academy (East Machias, ME), 2-1, in a league battle.
