The Lions come into the contest with a record of 7-5. Central won 5-1 in their recent non-league contest against Newnan (Newnan, GA)

In their next game, the Tigers play the West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA) in a 3A Region 7 contest, on Wednesday, September 6. Dawson County will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 5-4 league win over Gilmer (Ellijay, GA).
