Georgia High School Softball - Miller Grove holds off Holy Innocents Episcopal

The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Miller Grove Wolverines (Lithonia, GA) and the host Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears (Atlanta, GA), saw Miller Grove's softball squad nip Holy Innocents Episcopal by a count of 8-6.

The Wolverines now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Southwest DeKalb for a 4A Region 6 match on Wednesday, September 6. Miller Grove will face a Panthers squad coming off a 13-1 league loss to Westminster (Atlanta, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Holy Innocents Episcopal falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Golden bears travel to Duluth (Duluth, GA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Wednesday, September 6. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 4-6. Duluth won 10-1 in their recent league match against Norcross (Norcross, GA)
