Randolph-Clay Red Devils (Cuthbert, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), 7-5 in a league challenge.

The Red Devils now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mitchell County for a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Thursday, September 7. Randolph-Clay will face a Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Baconton Charter (Baconton, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Quitman County falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Calhoun County (Edison, GA) to face the Cougars in a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Wednesday, September 6. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-5.
