Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Trojans battle the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Northwest 1A match, on Thursday, September 7. Alleghany will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC).

With the loss, North Stokes drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to battle the Granite Bears in a Northwest 1A match on Thursday, September 7. The Granite Bears come into the match with a record of 5-3. Mount Airy won 3-0 in their recent league match against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
