In Tuesday's league battle, the host Giles Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Auburn Eagles.

The Spartans (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Maroons come into the Mountain Empire battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, George Wythe achieved victory over Galax (Galax, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) in a Mountain Empire battle, on Thursday, September 7. Auburn will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Bears come into the battle with a 3-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to Grayson County (Independence, VA).
