Next up, the Governors face the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a Dogwood contest, on Tuesday, September 12. Nelson County will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).

With the loss, Buffalo Gap moves to 2-2 on the year. The Bison travel to Bath County (Hot Springs, VA) to face the Chargers in a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 6. The Chargers go into the contest with a record of 2-1. Bath County won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Staunton (Staunton, VA)
