With the win, Piedmont Community Charter upgrades its record to 7-2 on the year. The Patriots host Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, September 8. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 3-7.

The Comets now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Sugar Creek for a Metro Eight 1A outing on Friday, September 8. Carolina International will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.
