The Volunteer Falcons volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Cherokee Chiefs to 0 in the Falcons league victory on Tuesday.
The Falcons now have a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gate City for a non-league game on Wednesday, September 6. Volunteer will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Daniel Boone (Gray, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-2.
The Chiefs (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN). The Bulldogs enter the AA District 2 game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Claiborne gained a win over Pineville (Pineville, KY), 3-2, in a non-league game.
