The Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Clay-Chalkville Cougars to 0 in the Blue Devils league victory on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils now have a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gardendale for a non-league game on Thursday, September 7. Mortimer Jordan will meet a Rockets team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Jackson-Olin (Birmingham, AL). The Rockets record now stands at 4-3.
The Cougars (1-8) will now prepare for their game against Tuscaloosa Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Tuscaloosa Academy dropped by University Charter (Livingston, AL), 3-0, in a non-league game.
