The Bulldogs (21-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Amarillo (Amarillo, TX). The Sandies come into the non-league challenge with a 23-4 record. In their last challenge, Amarillo defeated Coronado (Lubbock, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 8. Cooper will attempt to move on its 7-12 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 17-11 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Tascosa (Amarillo, TX).
