Ohio High School Volleyball - Utica edged by Lakewood

The Lakewood Lancers held off the host Utica Redskins volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lancers now have a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northridge for a Licking County test on Thursday, September 7. Lakewood will confront a Vikings team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Johnstown-Monroe (Johnstown, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Utica moves to 5-5 on the year. The Redskins travel to Newark Catholic (Newark, OH) to battle the Green Wave in a Licking County contest on Thursday, September 7. The Green Wave go into the contest with a record of 6-2. Newark Catholic won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Heath (Heath, OH)
