The Newton Cardinals held off the host Pella Christian Eagles volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals now have a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norwalk for a Little Hawkeye test on Tuesday, September 12. Newton will confront a Warriors team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Indianola (Indianola, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-7.
The Eagles (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA). The Hawks enter the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Woodward-Granger was nudged by Ogden (Ogden, IA), 3-1, in a league test.
