In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Taylorsville Tartars volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Raleigh Lions.
The Tartars (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Laurel (Laurel, MS). The Golden Tornadoes come into the non-league battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Laurel defeated Heidelberg (Heidelberg, MS), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Lions encounter the Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS) in a Class 2 Region 7 battle, on Thursday, September 7. Raleigh will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Amite County (Liberty, MS).
