Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) and the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), saw Central's soccer squad triumph over Piscataquis by a score of 8-0.

The Red Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME). The Lynx enter the Class C - North battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Mattanawcook was overwhelmed by Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Pirates confront the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 7. Piscataquis will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
