In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host East Bladen Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Pender Patriots.

The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Titans enter the non-league challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Heide Trask beat Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots meet the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, September 9. Pender will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC).
