Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Patton improves its record to 7-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Brevard (Brevard, NC) to encounter the Blue Devils in a test on Tuesday, September 10. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 9-0. Brevard won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Chase (Forest City, NC)

The Hilltoppers now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freedom for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. R-S Central will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-6.
