Fans at Thursday's league battle between the NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC) and the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), saw NCSSM: Morganton's soccer squad knock off Draughn by a count of 2-0.

The Dragons (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers enter the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, East Burke Cherryville (Cherryville, NC), 1-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A battle, on Wednesday, September 11. Draughn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
