Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Fargo North Spartans (Fargo, ND) and the host Shanley Deacons (Fargo, ND), saw Fargo North's soccer squad knock off Shanley by a count of 2-0.

The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Sheyenne (West Fargo, ND). The Mustangs enter the East Region battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Sheyenne by Red River (Grand Forks, ND), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Deacons confront the Red River Roughriders (Grand Forks, ND) in a East Region battle, on Saturday, September 7. Shanley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Roughriders enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Sheyenne (West Fargo, ND).
