In Thursday's league outing, the host St. John's Prep Johnnies soccer squad scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Little Falls Flyers.

The Johnnies (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy (Fergus Falls, MN). The Comets go into the non-league outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy was edged by Crookston (Crookston, MN), 5-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Flyers battle the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (St. Cloud, MN) in a Class A Section 8 battle, on Tuesday, September 10. Little Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Crusaders enter the battle with a 4-0 record after their 7-1 league win over St. John's Prep (Collegeville, MN).
