In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Manteno Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 win over the Reed-Custer Comets.
The Panthers (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL). The Hilltoppers enter the non-league outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Joliet Catholic Morris (Morris, IL), 1-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Comets confront the Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL) in a non-league outing, on Friday, September 6. Reed-Custer will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the outing with a 4-2 record after their 9-0 league win over Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL).
