The Bacon County Raiders triumphed over the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Raiders meet the Camden County Wildcats (Kingsland, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Bacon County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Long County (Ludowici, GA).
The Purple Hurricane (2-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 9-1 record. In their last challenge, Irwin County overcame Charlton County (Folkston, GA), 11-3, in a league challenge.
